Skinny: It was the last day of the season. I was tired, cold (it was 14 degrees) and sore. I hadn't seen a bull the whole trip. I was beginning to think that they'd gone to Cabo San Lucas for the winter. About a half hour went by. It was dead quiet. Out of the blue, a tree 35' away from me exploded with antler noise. A moose must have heard me on my walk down to the lake and had crept up behind me to challenge me. It looked like a large Christmas tree in a blender, I could see the antlers crashing around in the tree. My first thought was that a buddy was pranking me. It was surreal. I stood up as the moose turned away and slowly followed behind him. He turned broadside to me. All the practice, preparation and time, let Federal's 180gr. Nosler Partition fly true--despite the adrenaline using my veins for an autobahn. Let's just say that the big bull didn't have the heart to run off and hide! Thankfully, the freezer's full for the second year thanks to Federal!
